  • Why is your deposit non-refundable?
    When a client doesn't show up for a shoot it costs the photographer more than just their time and effort. Often they have invested in things behind the scenes to make the experience it's best. It also takes away a time slot that could have been offered to a paying client.
  • Am I responsible for my own styling?
    Yes, unless arrangements have been made in advance, all those being photographed should arrive dressed, with hair and makeup done. There will often be time for touch-ups and/or wardrobe changes.
  • Why are professional photographers so expensive?
    I pride myself on remaining budget friendly for families, individuals, and small businesses however a lot of work goes in behind the scenes that must be accounted for in pricing. For every hour spent shooting photos, there is 3-5 hours of work in marketing, editing, processing, and sourcing props.
  • Can I schedule a consultation?
    Yes! In fact, it's advised. For most sessions we will communicate back and forth via email or messaging but for commercial, wedding, and boudoir clients I offer an in person or virtual consultation free of charge.
  • Why don't you sell prints?
    With an influx of low-budget printing available online as well as a move to digital images being shared across social media, I have found clients would usually rather have the option to source printing services on their own. As a result, my pricing includes full printing rights to your images. Printing is available, however at an additional cost.
  • When is payment due?
    A deposit of 25% of your contracted services is due within 72 hours of scheduling. If payment is not received in time, your slot will go back up for grabs and you will need to start over in the scheduling process. The remaining balance is due at the start of your session. I do offer payment plans, however the balance must be paid in full prior to your scheduled shoot.
  • What do I do if my outdoor shoot is rained out?
    I will watch the weather in the days leading up to your shoot. If it's possible to move the session to an indoor location without compromising the concept, we certainly will. However if continuing the shoot safely is not possible and I must cancel, all money paid towards your deposit will be applied towards the reschedule and refundable if that's not possible.
  • When can I expect to receive my images?
    Sneak peeks are posted to my social media within 3-5 days (with the exception of commercial and boudoir shoots) so make sure you are following me! Full galleries will be available within 2 weeks for standard shoots. Large scale shoots, such as weddings may take up to 30 days.
  • How are images delivered?
    There are multiple options for delivery of your final edited images. I offer access to a private gallery on our website to download from. I can also offer in person pick-up of flash memory containing your gallery. In some cases I can provide finished prints for a fee.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
    Currently I use Venmo and credit cards as well as always accepting cash!
  • Do you ever offer discounted rates?
    I definitely recommend following me on social media. That is where most offers and promotions are shared. I also recruit brand ambassadors from time to time, a gig that can score you deeply discounted sessions. I offer customer loyalty discounts, referral incentives, and mini sessions.
  • Where do shoots take place?
    I have an indoor studio located in Tonganoxie, Kansas but also enjoy outdoor shoots across the Kansas City metro. I am available to travel outside of the 7 county area (KS: Leavenworth, Wyandotte, Johnson, Douglas. MO: Jackson, Platte, Clay) for a fee.
  • What can I expect from you as a wedding photographer?
    Everyone should be able to cherish the still images captured on one of the biggest days of their life. Because of that belief, I offer packages for all budgets. At the most affordable price point, I will come to you and shoot posed photos of your wedding party and immediate family. With a bigger investment, I offer full service weddings that can commemorate every moment from your engagement, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, and all of the events of the day from your arrival at the venue though to the last dance.
  • Do you offer boudoir sessions?
    I do! You can rest assured that an all female staff will greet you and make you feel at home in our studio. No one will ever have access to your images outside of the photographer until YOU decide when and where to share them. I have a customer closet to fit any vision from sweet and soft, to glamorous pin-up. These sessions are personalized to YOUR vision of self-confidence and feminine empowerment.
